Required skills:
• Knowledge of college readiness, career awareness, and character education
• Expert understanding of High School education requirements in Puerto Rico
•• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Spanish a must
• Ability to establish/maintain partnership with higher education institutions
•• Knowledgeable in college counseling, admissions, scholarships, NCAA, and college life in Higher Education Institutions in the United States, Europe and Puerto Rico
• Untiring commitment to work with diverse learners and achieving high standard
• Willingness to commit and become an active participant in school life
• Familiarity with Financial Aid process and resources
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program staff and school partners
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person and over the phone, applying tact and discretion as situations demand
• Must have excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
• Responsible and professional conduct that serves as role model to staff and youth
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Must demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Education Counseling,
Master’s Degree in Education or Counseling preferred.
