6th Grade Water Cycle Project

This a very important message. Any student that did not comply with the directions for the water cycle assignment and is not satisfied with his or her grade has the chance to redo his or her assignment. It is important that you learn from this experience and understand how important it is to read ALL directions. ALL redos are due on Monday BEFORE 3:30. I will NOT grade a project after that deadline. Let me know if you have any questions.

Announcement- Science Fair

Good morning,

Due to the current circumstances and the continuous transitions, I wanted to let you all know that the science fair notebooks and presentations will be due May 8th on Teams. I will be posting more details in the next few days.

Have a great long weekend.

Attendance Reminder

Hello!
I wanted to first off say I miss having class and seeing my students each day. This has been a big transition, and I am impressed how well the kids are adapting.

With that being said, I wanted to send a reminder about attendance. It is extremely important that if able to the students are attending to all their classes each day by logging on and liking my posts. There are tasks to complete each day in each class whether it be watching a video, doing an assignment, or participating in a video chat. The only way that I know the student is attending is if he or she likes my posts or asks me a question through Teams. If this is not done, I will need to keep record of it. As we continue using this portal, time allowed for assignments will not be as long as it currently is. Please make sure to attend to ALL your classes every day. If you are dealing with a special circumstance or having any trouble at all, please let me know, so that I can help.

We will work together through this!
Always here to help. Thank you for your hard work and patience.
Ms. Trickett

Reminder

I am scheduling a video chat for tomorrow morning. I will meet with the following groups at the corresponding times. It will most likely not take the entire hour, but I would like to check in.

9:00-9:50- 5th grade
9:50-10:40- 6th grade
10:40-11:30- 4th grade

4th-6th Grade Digital Learning Schedule

Hello all,

Thank you so much for all your patience through this process. I know it is a very difficult transition. I wanted to make a clarification here because I know all of us teachers are doing things very differently.

My classes will NOT be given through video chat each day. The students can come on at any time, like the day's video to show attendance and work at his or her own pace. The schedule's purpose is to show that during my listed hours, I will be available to that specific grade level for help in any way.

I have uploaded my schedule with a small change in detail for Friday. On Fridays, at the specified time, I will hold a video conference to catch everyone up and check in with the class as a whole. A class video chat will not happen every day.

The class video lectures will be posted in the channel labeled "Class Lecture Videos". This is where the students will need to go on a daily basis.

Please let me know if there are any questions or I can help in any way.

All the best,
Ms. Trickett

4th-6th Grade Digital Learning Schedule

I sent this document last night through email, but I have attached it here also just in case. This document shows what hours are dedicated to face to face interaction or chats with the specific teacher. During my hours every day, we will check in for attendance with a video call, clarify any doubts, and then the students can use the remainder of the time/day to complete assignments. I will let all know if and when we will use a full hour for a video conference.

Let me know if there are any questions!

Teams and McGraw Hill Login Tutorial

If you are missing login information, please let me know. ***Please ignore the captions. They are inaccurate, but the program would not allow me to disable them. :(

Digital Learning

Good afternoon all,
I hope everyone is home safe. As you know, with the outbreak of the virus, things are changing quickly. I wanted to post on here to let you know that we will be resuming our classes on two online platforms: Teams and McGraw Hill starting this Wednesday. As far as I know, the students have worked with Mr. Vazquez in computer with the Teams program, so they should have the login. Also, students should have the McGraw Hill login in their notebooks. If anyone does not have the login information for these platforms, please send me an email AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, so I can get you the information quickly to avoid delaying this transition.
Please let me know if you have questions.
