Founded in 2003, Washburn School is a total English immersion, college preparatory, co-educational, value-based, multi-cultural day school for grades Pre-K to 12th grade located in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
SEEKS OUTSTANDING FULL-TIME TEACHERS
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, or related filed, Master’s preferred
• Teaching experience in the subject areas
Requirements:
• Experience and versed in the use of instructional technology.
• Tireless commitment to work with diverse learners of the English language and achieving high standards.
• Willingness to commit and become active participant in school life including taking over as advisor of student organizations.
• Student-centered, interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning.
• Expertise in the desired content area and modern pedagogical approaches.
• Expertise in 21st century teaching and learning trends.
• A commitment to differentiated instruction that meets individual needs and achieves high level outcomes for all students.
• A commitment to project-based and problem-based learning.
• A commitment to be an active participant in school and community life.
• A willingness and/or ability to serve as a homeroom teacher, sponsor student clubs, activities or organizations.
• A record as a strong collaborator and contributing team member – with faculty, administration and parents.
• Experience in developing and implementing a high quality curriculum.
• The ability to gather, analyze and use student achievement data to guide curriculum and instruction.
