Saludos a la comunidad de Washburn School,
Hace un mes atrás habíamos anunciado una posible visita a las Clínicas de Baloncesto Adaptado en Juana Díaz dirigido por el profesor Damián J. Pérez Roche, coach de Baloncesto de dicho programa. Se nos presenta una oportunidad de ayudar con la comunidad y de aprender de nuestros compañeros, los cuales son niños y jóvenes de educación especial, entre los cuales hay estudiantes con Síndrome Down, autistas y sordos. El objetivo será formar parte de una clínica de baloncesto de manera activa, divertida y deportiva. La clínica, está pautada para este miércoles, 13 de marzo de 2019 en las facilidades de la cancha bajo techo de la escuela elemental Ruthorford B. Hayes en Juana Díaz a las 6:00 pm.
Será una grata experiencia para nuestros estudiantes y cordialmente espero su participación con nuestra comunidad. Es una gran manera de aportar mas allá de solamente jugar y servirá como oportunidad de unir nuestra escuela en una experiencia enriquecedora.

Greetings to the Washburn School community,
We have had a great basketball season and I want to congratulate both teams for the tremendous performance. A month ago, we had informally announced a possible visit to the Adapted Basketball Clinics in Juana Díaz led by Professor Damián J. Pérez Roche, Basketball coach of the program. We are presented with an opportunity to help with the community and to learn from our fellow students, which are Special Education children and youth. Some of the participants in the program are visually impaired, hard of hearing, wheelchair users, and are youth with Down Syndrome and Autism.
The objective of the basketball clinic is to be active, have fun and allow everyone to be involved in sports. The basketball clinic is scheduled for this Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Ruthorford B. Hayes Elementary School Indoor Court in Juana Díaz at 6:00 p.m.
It will be a great experience for our students and I cordially await your participation with our community. It is a great way to contribute beyond just playing and will serve as an opportunity to unite our school in an enriching experience.
