On the first Monday of class every month students actively discuss, write, and incorporate the value of the month in their first homeroom class through creative activities with their homeroom teacher.
The value of the month is also included through integration while our educators prepare their lessons in the whole month. Over the past few months, the values have been excellence and respect. For October, we have HONESTY as our value! Students discuss or write ways they strive for each value in a video, journal or anything creative such as a role playing, art, and music.
August - Excellence – Strive for excellence.
September - Respect – Be respectful to yourself and others.
October - Honesty – Live honestly and be precise and truthful in your speech.
November - Empathy – Have empathy and compassion towards those around you.
December - Responsibility – Take on personal and academic responsibility.
January - Integrity – Exercise integrity and authenticity in everything you do.
February - Resilient – Be resilient in the face of rigor and challenges.
March - Courage – Dare to confront uncertainty and positive risks.
April - Open mind – Live with an open mind towards others and their differences.
