Congratulations to the February 2024 Students of the Month at Washburn School in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Since our establishment in 2003, every month we honor students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to striving for excellence at Washburn 🦅. This recognition is a testament to their hard work, alignment with Washburn's values both inside and outside the classroom, and their positive impact on our community.
We are excited to announce that we will be recognizing these outstanding students on Monday, March 4th, at 1:30 pm with a special award ceremony. .
The selection of Students of the Month is meticulously carried out through a voting process involving all staff and faculty members, utilizing a rubric that reflects Washburn's goals. This rubric assesses their academic work, classroom behavior, adherence to Washburn's values, and their overall positive contribution to our community. The teachers and faculty who nominate and allocate points to the students remain anonymous, employing a rubric with over 25 different criteria that embody Washburn values. This means all teachers, including administrative staff, play a role in selecting the winners, ensuring a comprehensive and fair evaluation.
