Saludos padres,
Por este medio les estamos muy agradecidos por la gran ayuda que han brindado con los equipos deportivos del colegio. Comenzamos hace seis años perteneciendo a la liga Atlética de Colegios Católicos. La participación de los estudiantes de Washburn ha sido máxima en los siguientes deportes:
Volleyball, Softball y baloncesto. Hemos cosechado grandes triunfos tales como: Sub Campeones en baloncesto con promedio de once ganados y uno perdido en el año 2010-2011. Ese mismo año competimos en el carnaval de Volleyball con las escuelas elementales del distrito escolar de Juana Díaz donde obtuvimos el tercer lugar en las niñas. Les exhorto a que sigan practicando y participando junto con sus hijos para lograr mente y cuerpo sano.
Este año escolar estaremos ofreciendo competencias intramurales en los siguientes eventos deportivos:
1 Brinca Cuica
2 Tiradas libres
3 Tiro de tres puntos
4 Torneo de ping pong
5 Torneo de balompié
6 Torneo de ajedrez
7 Torneo de dominós
En el área de intermedia se está celebrando el torneo del tres para tres a la hora del mediodía.

Calendario de Baloncesto
En el mes de noviembre comenzaremos con las práctica del equipo elemental e intermedia de baloncesto. El 22 de enero comenzaremos el torneo de la liga.

FIBA 3 X 3 Intramural Basketball
Dear Washburn Community,
The FIBA 3 x3 Intramural Basketball Season has been fun and successful! We have 6 teams of 3 players from grades 7th to 10th. Mr. Ronnie Lopezcepero and Mr. William Conde Jr. are also participating as captains of two teams. Each team played 5 games against every single team during the recess period at Washburn. The teams have their own names and logos and are played with the FIBA RULES 3 vs. 3 basketball setting. FIBA 3 x 3 basketball is already going to be an Olympic and official sport in Brazil 2016! The games are 10 minutes long or the first one to 15 points, they also have some specific FIBA rules and one referee participates. The students have demonstrated team work, athleticism, enthusiasm, competitiveness, sportsmanship and are having a good time! The standings are placed around the school and on Washburn’s Facebook page!

The playoffs will start soon with the top 4 teams of the 6 total teams advancing to the playoffs. The champion will get an award, some school privileges, and a Pizza Party! Intramural is just for fun but we want to acknowledge and award the best team of the 2012 FALL BASKETBALL Champion!
