Alejandro Negrón Calderón has been part of the Washburn family since elementary school.

Alanis has been accepted to 12 universities across the United States and awarded over $918,500 in scholarships and grants for her talent, hard work, and creativity.

Alanis has officially committed to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia, one of the top art and design universities in the world. She will study Interior Design and has also been accepted to participate in SCAD’s global study program in Lacoste, France, where students live and learn in an immersive creative village in the South of France.

Since 2011 (Pre-K), Camila has been a pillar of our school community. With a 3.96 GPA, she serves as President of the Graduating Class, was named Student of the Year for 2024–2025, and has been an active member of the National Honor Society since elementary school. In 11th grade, she reached the top 3% worldwide in English proficiency, earning the NWEA MAP Growth Award.

Carlos González Campos — Eagle Scout, Computer Science at UPR Ponce

Carlos joined Washburn School in 6th grade and will soon begin his studies in Computer Science at the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce. He was also accepted to Messiah University and Interamerican University in Aguadilla, reflecting his strong academic path.

Earlier this year, Carlos led a remarkable service project that transformed an unused classroom on our campus into a vibrant new space for our Title I program. From planning and organizing work days to overseeing every detail, he directed a team that included his sister Victoria Isabel González Campos, his parents, and dedicated volunteers.

This initiative wasn’t just a school effort—it was also Carlos’s final project to achieve the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.

Carlos embodies what Washburn stands for: academic excellence, leadership, and service to others. We are excited to see all he will accomplish in the future.

Ryan’s story is one of dedication, humility, and respect. For over a decade, he has been a steady presence on our campus, known for his kindness and for being a compassionate friend to all.

Beyond academics, Ryan has made his mark in sports, representing Washburn in:
