Biography

Mr. Rentas Maldonado holds a Bachelor's degree in English as a Second Language for the Secondary Level, with a minor in Elementary Education, from Interamerican University of Ponce. He is entering his fourth year as an educator and brings a wide range of teaching experience across grade levels—from kindergarten through high school. This year marks his fifth year at Washburn School.

Mr. Rentas has taught in both general and special education settings and is passionate about fostering students’ growth in English language proficiency, literature, and academic writing. His teaching approach emphasizes the development of critical reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills, tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
