Washburn School Awards Night (Noche de Logros)

These are some of the awards given to our Washburn Eagles : 

1. HIGH HONOR – The high honor award is presented to 1st to 12th grade students who have achieved an overall academic average between 97 to 100 percent.

2. HONOR– The award is presented to 1st to 12th grade students who have achieved an overall academic average between 90 to 96 percent

3. WILLIAM CONDE AWARD – Washburn Student that participated in the most amount of different sports while maintaining a good academic standing, great communication, school pride and loyalty, great work ethic, respect for coach, teammates, opponents and officials, fair play, sportsmanship and balancing academic and sporting life.


4. WASHBURN SCHOOL ATHLETE OF THE YEAR (CO-ED ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL) -
The Athlete of the Year Award is given out annually to an elementary school and secondary male athlete or female elementary athlete. 
•Great Attitude on and off the court/field
•Commitment to the team or sport
•Being a leader on the team or sport
•Willing to help, teach and assist their teammates
•Positive Sportsmanship shown amongst their teammates, opponents and officials
•Succeeding in the classroom by being eligible for every game or meet throughout the sports seasons
•A multi-sport athlete who participates in a minimum of 2 sports or 2 regional awards throughout the same school year
•Exhibit top performance as a scholar athlete
•Always does what they are supposed to be doing when they are supposed to be doing it



5. DR. LOPEZ-CEPERO ATHLETIC AWARD – Student-athlete with highest GPA, who demonstrated leadership, and that won a championship or a regional recognized award in athletics. I

9. WASHBURN EAGLE OF THE YEAR AWARD – Students that exemplifies the vision of Dr. Lopez-Cepero for a Washburn student.
