6th Grade Science Exam 7 Review 3/26/19

This is the review for Exam 7 which will be on April 23rd. Because I am posting this several weeks in advance, we will not be dedicating time in class to COMPLETE the review. Students should work on completing the review little by little at home. I will be posting the answers next week. During the week of April 8-12, we will dedicate a day to answer questions about the review and play a review game. 

6th Grade Class 3/26/19

This morning, we reviewed Earth's layers and elevation. Then, we read and discussed pages 256-259. Then, the students answered questions about the reading. 

6th Grade Class 3/25/19

This morning, we reviewed this lesson so far. We read pages 248-250 and discussed longitude and latitude, elevation, and the Earth's layers. 

6th Grade Class 3/18/19

This morning, we read pages 238 and 239 to introduce our new unit. We completed a Venn diagram to compare the past and present perspectives of earthquakes. 

6th Grade Class 3/14/19

This morning, we read a book about food chains and then we wrote food chain poems. 

6th Grade Class 3/13/19

This morning, we watched a video on food chains. Then, we read pages 198-201 and took notes on these pages. 
 
*I stapled a slip in the back of each child's notebook. This piece of paper contains the assignment grades for this semester so far. 

6th Grade Class 3/8/19

This morning, we watched two videos on symbiotic relationships. Then, we read 190 and 191 together. We defined symbiosis, mutualism. commensalism, and parasitism in the notebook, and the students drew examples of each type of relationship. 

Important!

Exam 6 will be on Tuesday, March 19th. 
It will cover Chapter 3 Lessons 3 and 4 (pages 160-181B) 
The exam review will be given on Monday, March 11th. We will use Monday and Tuesday to work on the review in class. 

6th Grade Class 3/7/19

This morning, we read 188 and 189 about the cycles on Earth. We discussed the quick check questions together and took notes on these pages.
