This morning, I collected the homework. Students that failed to submit the assignment will receive a zero. We spent the class playing a review game to reinforce the concepts on Tuesday's exam.

This morning, the students read the article on pages 134 and 135 independently. Then, we summarized this article in a paragraph together. This article's purpose is to introduce our new unit on patterns of life. 

This morning, we read and discussed an article about a microbiologist on pages 128-129. The students answered two comprehension questions in their notebooks. We are working very hard on answering in complete sentences and using the question in the answer. 

This morning, we read page 126 and discussed bread mold. We completed our KWL chart and then the students worked on their in class handout. 

This morning, we reviewed microorganism content from yesterday and proceeded with it today. We read pages 123-125 and worked on our KWL chart as a class. 

This morning, we began class by discussing changes for the new year/new semester. Then, we reviewed mitosis and meiosis and watched a video on bacteria. After the video, we worked on a KWL chart together before, during, and after reading page 122 on microorganisms. We finished with reviewing today's lesson. 

 

Note: The first exam for this semester is on January 22. The students will receive their review on January 15.

This morning, we played a group review game to review lessons from August up to now. 

This morning, students completed a foldable to review the cell cycle, mitosis, and meiosis. This was worth 12 points.
