This morning, we began class reviewing the content from yesterday. Then, we watched two videos on volcanoes and read page 220. We discussed the quick check questions and also completed the lesson review verbally as a class.

4th Grade Class 3/28/19
This morning, we began class by finishing yesterday's notes on earthquakes. Then, we read pages 218 and 219 about how scientists measure earthquakes. We discussed the quick check questions together.
4th Grade Class 3/27/19
This morning, we reviewed the faults and folds from yesterday. Then, we finished those notes. We began the section on earthquakes with a video. Then, we read pages 216-217 and will complete the remainder of the notes tomorrow.
3rd Grade Class 3/27/19
This morning, we finished workbook page 98 and then students used the remaining class time to complete a chapter 5 handout.
4th Grade Science Exam 7 Review 3/26/19
This is the review for Exam 7 which will be on April 23rd. Because I am posting this several weeks in advance, we will not be dedicating time in class to COMPLETE the review. Students should work on completing the review little by little at home. I will be posting the answers next week. During the week of April 8-12, we will dedicate a day to answer questions about the review and play a review game.
4th Grade Class 3/26/19
This morning, we completed an exam reflection and then reviewed the Earth's layers from yesterday! We began talking about faults and folds in the land by reading pages 214-215. We discussed the quick check questions, and we will finish the notes on this content tomorrow.

This morning, we read page 208 and the students drew the diagram with the labels and definitions in their notebooks.

This morning, we read about landforms and ocean features and took notes on pages 204-207.
4th Grade Class 3/18/19
This morning, half of the class was dedicated to finishing the handout that was given on Friday. Then, we read page 198 and 199 and then practiced answering questions about the text in complete sentences using the question in the answer.

This morning, we reviewed yesterday's work. Then, we read and discussed what happens when ecosystems change. We read and answered the quick check questions on pages 188-190. We took notes on the board.

This morning, we began discussing how ecosystems can be changed. We read and discussed pages 184-187. We answered the quick check questions together and took notes (from the board).
4th Grade Science Exam 6 Review with Answers 3/12/19
Today was the last day in class to copy/answer the review. Students should check their review with mine.

Students are welcome to bring a printed copy into class tomorrow. Students will be using class time on Monday and Tuesday to copy/answer the review.
4th Grade Class 3/8/19
This morning, we reviewed stimuli and tropisms from yesterday's lesson. Then, we read about sunflowers and how they respond to their environment on page 180. We watched a video about how other plants adapt and respond to their environment. We ended the class by reviewing for the upcoming exam.
