Thursdays are reading and writing in science days! We had a great class! Today, looked at the features of a nonfiction book (glossary, index, table of contents etc.) and talked about how they are helpful to readers. Then, we read the book about different life cycles. After reading and discussing the book, students answered comprehension questions based on the book. Students that did not complete the classwork will need to complete it at home along with their homework. 

 

For homework, the students need to answer question twelve in the packet. They should complete it with at least three sentences. 

 

I will be collecting this for points at the beginning of class tomorrow.

This morning, we reviewed the reading and vocabulary words life cycle, life span, and incomplete metamorphosis from yesterday. We read about complete metamorphosis today. The students compared the two processes by completing the drawings in their notebooks. 

Today, students turned in their comic projects and continued working on the review. Students that finished, checked their answers. 

Comic projects with the rubric and research packets are due tomorrow. Late projects will have deductions. 

Students worked on the Final Exam Review.

This morning, we played a review game to reinforce the concepts of this semester.
