5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/24/20
This morning, students completed their fictional narrative project. They will present them tomorrow.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/21/20
This morning, the students continued to work on their creative writing project. The last class will be Monday and we will present on Tuesday.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/20/20
This morning, students had the chance to make corrections on their quiz yesterday. Then, they worked on their creative writing projects. Tomorrow will be the last day with these. The students had the opportunity to see their adjusted grades.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/19/20
This morning, the students took their quiz. Tomorrow they will have ten minutes of class time to make corrections on their quiz and receive half points back. The students had the opportunity to look at their quiz and see what they missed. This will be a one time opportunity.

This morning, the students continued to work on their creative writing projects. We will be finishing these on Thursday. Remember that there is a quiz tomorrow.

5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/12/20
This morning, I gave time to finish the Inca part of the chart from yesterday. Then, I introduced the project the students will be working on together for the next lesson. I modeled and read my example. Then, they began working with their partner on it. We will be working on this for the next few classes.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/11/20
This morning, we reviewed the previously discussed cultures. Then, we read and discussed the Incan culture and completed the chart together. This will be an important document to study for the quiz next week.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/10/20
This morning, we read about the Mochica and Tiwanaku Cultures on pages 121-122. We completed the chart for these two cultures.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/7/20
This morning, we read and discussed the paraca and nazca cultures. We compared and contrasted the groups using the chart in the notebook.
*Lesson 7 and 8 and quiz will be Wednesday, February 19th.

5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/5/20
This morning, we corrected the workbook pages 41 and 42. Then, we went over the handout the students completed yesterday for points. We discussed how these pages and this handout will good study tools for their quiz on February 19th.
We also read pages 118 and 119 about the Chavin culture.
5th Grade Social Studies Class 2/4/20
This morning, I graded the comprehension questions from last week. The students completed a handout on the Mesoamerican groups.
