5th Grade Science Class 2/3/20

This morning, we checked over the notes guide from last week. Then, the students had time to complete the lesson review on page 116 in the big book. They also worked on pages 38-42 in the workbook. We checked 116 at the end of class, and we will check the workbook tomorrow. 

5th Grade Social Studies Class 1/29/20

This morning, we reviewed the content from yesterday and the students had the opportunity to complete the notes from yesterday's class. 
 
Then, individually or in a group the students read pages 105- 107 and worked on comprehension questions. We will continue to work on these in class tomorrow. I will be checking them on Tuesday. 

5th Grade Social Studies Class 1/28/20

This morning, we finished the notes from yesterday. Then, in groups, students read pages 103 and 104. Each group was assigned a section to recap for the class. After discussion, we took notes. We will finish them in the first ten minutes of tomorrow's class. 

Important!

This morning, in their notebooks, the students wrote down the day that they will present their science fair project and what they will need for the hispanic heritage month activity on October 23rd. 

5th Grade Social Studies Class 9/30/19

This morning, students worked independently. They read pages 45-50 in the big book and took their own notes. In the notebook they had the following outline and wrote their own sentences next to the numbers.

5th Grade Social Studies Class 9/27/19

This morning, we talked about landforms in Mexico, and student completed a landform map of Mexico. They also had time to complete their mini-book. 

5th Grade Social Studies Class 9/23/19

This morning, we checked the Mexico online quest and then students used the class period to complete page 41 and workbook page 9. These assignments are for points and need to be finished at home if they were not in class. They will be checked next class.
