This morning, we read page 103 in the textbook and discussed the adaptations of a woodpecker and then we discussed our characteristics that help us survive. The students completed workbook page 44.

Hello everyone!

 

Yesterday, all science fair projects were returned with their grades. The grades will be uploaded to isinet this weekend. I was so impressed with the experiments and presentations. Three students were chosen from each class to present again in the school-wide presentations. The students were chosen based on their presentations and their knowledge of their experiment. This was not easy for me to choose, as all students did very well. 

 

The chosen students will need to prepare a board with all their information/pictures to bring in on November 26th. If the students had a demonstration, they may bring that in as well.

This morning, the students checked and completed their handout from yesterday. 

This morning, the students worked on their review handout using their book and notebook. Those that did not finish will have tomorrow in class. That is all the additional time that will be provided.

Today's class was spent at the career day presentation. 

This morning, the students read textbook pages 92-94 and completed workbook pages 36-39 with a partner. We will discuss this and go over the workbook pages tomorrow. While they worked, I wrote the exam 3 grade in the back of the notebook. 

This morning, we introduced the next lesson by completing and discussing the inquiry activity on page 91 in the textbook.

This morning, we played a review game to prepare for the test next week. We will continue with the science fair tomorrow. 

This morning, five students presented their science fair projects. They did so well! I am very proud of their hard work. 

 

Note: Administration has changed Exam 3 to next Tuesday, November 6th. Since, I did not have any scheduled to present tomorrow, we will have a review game. 

This morning, I checked the class work from yesterday and then we watched a movie to continue our unit on animals.
