3rd Grade Class 10/23/18

This morning, I checked the students' notebooks for their work from yesterday. They began copying their Exam 3 Review. I will check for the completion of up until the Chapter 2 section of  the review tomorrow in class.

3rd Grade Class 10/22/18

This morning, the students wrote their science fair presentation date in their notebooks. Then, we read and discussed pages 84-85 and the students drew the life cycles in their notebooks. I will check these tomorrow for points.

3rd Grade Class 10/17/18

This morning, I checked the work from yesterday. Then, we watched a video about butterflies. The students drew the life cycle of the butterfly in the notebook and for the fourth step they created a butterfly on colored paper. We talked about symmetry and how the butterflies' wings are symmetrical. In the future, we will be making these into stickers to put into the notebook.

3rd Grade Class 10/16/18

This morning, the student drew the life cycles on pages 74 and 75. Then, they took notes on page 76 and drew the life cycle of a fern. I signed all pages that were completed. In order to participate in the activity tomorrow in class, they must show me that all these activities are complete. While the students worked, I checked their science fair assignment.

3rd Grade Class 10/12/18

This morning, I read two books to the students about butterflies to introduce them to our next lesson. Then, we talked about symmetry and the students drew a symmetrical butterfly to prepare for an activity we will do next week.

3rd Grade Class 10/11/18

This morning, some of the students finished their butterfly life cycle drawings and those that finished yesterday, worked on their drawings about what they learned this year. The rest of our class was spent at the twin day parade.

3rd Grade Class 10/10/18

This morning, I collected the students' animal projects and they presented their models. I am so proud of them! They all turned out beautifully. After the presentations, the students worked on drawing the life cycle of a butterfly (an introduction to our next lesson). While they worked, I showed them their tests and wrote the grade in the back of their notebooks. They are also on isinet.

3rd Grade Class 10/9/18

I collected the science fair results and the students took Exam 2 during class today.
Animal projects are due tomorrow! I cannot wait to see their creativity!

3rd Grade Class 10/5/18

This morning, we played a review game to review for exam 2 on Tuesday.
Animal projects are due on Wednesday.

3rd Grade Class 10/4/18

This morning, we did not have class due to 4th-6th grade grandparents' day celebration. I will be checking their homework tomorrow in class and we will be reviewing for exam 2 tomorrow.

3rd Grade Class 10/3/18

This morning we finished yesterday's notes and then we read pages 74-75 and discussed. The students have a classwork/homework (if it was not completed in class) assignment that I will be checking tomorrow for points. The questions are included in this file. I will not be accepting it after tomorrow.

3rd Grade Class 10/2/18

This morning, the students worked on workbook pages 23-24 and 26 (1-4) to review. We checked the answers after. Then, we read pages 72-73. We did not finish the notes. We will complete them tomorrow.
